Backstory
Raven is probably pretty recognizable by anyone currently affiliated with the Adventurer's guild. Some may even recognize him as something of a hero.Few will be privy to his story, but many will notice his Garlean ancestry. This half-breed son of Garlemald isn't going to hide his heritage, and may even wear clothing clearly influenced by his homeland.Those aware of his story will know that Raven is a child of conquest; The son of an unknown garlean officer and some poor hyuran woman. He was raised in an imperial military academy and later stationed at a research base. There he met someone that would free his mind and help him escape, at the cost of their own life. Some time later, he would work for the resistance in Ala Mhigo, then moved on to Eorzea. Since then, Raven has traveled the world, learning much in his travels and saving all those he can. Some have started to call him a "hero".As of the last four years, Raven has devoted himself to a project of his: The Dawn Vigil! A Grand Company for the world! Nearly any and all are welcome to join.His Garlean name was Ravus pyr Letalis.

Personality
Those that get to know Raven will notice his voracious appetite for knowledge. The man spends an almost excessive amount of his time studying or training, between quests. He's gained some infamy amongst the guildmasters of Eorzea for his tendency to run instructors ragged.In his pursuit of knowledge, Raven has accumulated a decent collection of soulstones and jobs. It would seem that he only takes on quests from the adventurer's guild in order to apply new skills or to experiment in the field.Those that engage Raven, socially, may find him awkward to speak to. His social skills are somewhat lacking, and he may not notice certain cues.Raven has a deep love for Sharlaya, adoring the island and its people. Their thirst for knowledge resonates with his own.
He enjoys time spent in Hingashi, but seems to dislike various locations in Doma.Raven seems to rather enjoy the consumption of alcohol; preferably wines, ales, or sake. However, he can not become intoxicated.Raven has quite the sweet tooth! He loves his sweets, especially dango or cake. He'll take either with tea or coffee.Those that harm children will earn this hero's attention. It would be best not to expect mercy.Raven doesn't seem to mind killing. He considers it a necessity, in many situations. He does, however, disapprove of torture or suicide.Raven is quick to notice those with talent and has developed a desire to raise new heroes.

Appearance
Black hair, befitting his choice of name.Fiery red eyes.Slightly tanned complexion, indicative of a life spent outdoors.
Tall for a midlander, and fairly muscular.Usually wearing a bright, optimistic smile.Has a small, discolored mark on his forehead in a shape not unlike a Garlean's third eye. Won't notice unless examining him closely.He's usually seen wearing sunglasses. If you look closely, you may notice a red glow behind those tinted lenses.

Misc. Character Details
If you approach him in town, you may find him asleep. Raven will take a nap most anywhere. He's often too busy to set down for a proper restThose that can see his aether will see Raven's as a shining silhouette, in which there are two spots that shine intensely with many colors. If in distress, his usual, shining light will be replaced by an unnerving, black void. Toss him into an aether-rich environment and his aura will light up like a rainbow!Those that may try to read his mind will be met only with a sound like a great beast roaring in their ears.If the area around Raven is particularly rich with aether, one might notice his eyes starting to glow.It's best not to touch his weapons. All are attuned to his aether, and some may even bite an unworthy wielder.One may assume that Raven is always armed. Best behaviors now!Raven has an awakened and developed Echo. Through this he has gained aether-sight and sense.
